My question has to do with a specific talent, multitasking. I am horrible at it. Can anybody in administration nonetheless be a great leader w/o multitasking abilities? A great query, Chris, and a concern that's shared by many. Frankly, multitasking is extremely overrated, and may typically result in high levels of stress, poor communication, and substandard work. Instead of trying to do two or three things directly, attempt managing your time by batching comparable duties. For example, don’t leap from e mail to cellphone call to assembly. Instead, put aside a particular time to answer emails. Let your voice mail or an assistant collect your cellphone messages and return calls a few times a day. Whatever you might be doing, keep within the second and provides it your full attention. Your stress stage will go down an d your productivity will go up.
